男性タクシー運転手が惨殺死体で見つかった。性器を切り取られ、めった刺しにされていた。ベンソン刑事とステイブラー刑事は、被害者が67人もの女性をレイプしたセルビア人兵士であることを突き止める。ベンソンは“レイプの結果生まれた子”という自身の出生と重ね合わせて、事件に個人的な感情を抱き感情を抑えることができず捜査を混乱させてしまう。葛藤するベンソンは母セレナに自分の思いをぶちまけるが…。

しかもエリート刑事だけどちゃんと人間らしく、自分の生い立ちに混乱して、刑事としては危うい行動に出てしまうっていうところがまた面白いんですよね。人間らしい葛藤を正面から表現しているところも、このドラマの面白さなんです！
